The East Africa Venture Capital Association (EAVCA) has announced the 10th Annual Private Capital Conference, set to take place on 2β3 September 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya, bringing together investors, policymakers, institutional investors, fund managers, development partners and business leaders to examine the next chapter of private capital across East Africa.
Held under the theme Capital Reimagined: Local Capital. Regional Scale. Global Opportunity., this landmark edition marks ten years of EAVCA convening the conversations shaping the region’s private capital ecosystem.
For a decade, the EAVCA Annual Private Capital Conference has served as East Africa’s leading platform or private capital, convening the region’s investment ecosystem to influence policy, mobilise capital and strengthen cross-border investment. βThe programme will feature high-level discussions on local capital mobilisation, private credit, venture capital, infrastructure, climate finance, exits, capital markets and regional competitiveness, alongside curated investor engagement sessions designed to foster partnerships and unlock investment opportunities across East Africa.
Speaking ahead of the Conference, Christine Maina, Chief Executive Officer of EAVCA, said: “For ten years, the EAVCA Annual Private Capital Conference has brought together the leaders shaping the future of investment in East Africa. As we celebrate this important milestone, our focus is firmly on the next decade, strengthening domestic capital, accelerating regional integration and attracting global investment into the region. Private capital has become an increasingly important driver of entrepreneurship, infrastructure, innovation and economic resilience across East Africa. Our ambition is for this Conference to catalyse the partnerships, policies and investment needed to unlock the region’s next phase of sustainable growth.”
The Conference is expected to attract senior decision-makers from across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Burundi and South Sudan, alongside international investors and strategic partners, reinforcing East Africa’s position as an increasingly attractive investment destination. Beyond thought leadership, the Conference is designed to catalyse meaningful outcomes by strengthening dialogue between investors and policymakers, showcasing regional investment opportunities and facilitating new partnerships that support long-term capital formation across East Africa.
As EAVCA enters its second decade of convening the region’s private capital ecosystem, the 2026 Conference will provide a platform not only to reflect on the industry’s progress, but to shape the conversations and collaborations that will define its future.
Organisations interested in partnering with EAVCA as Conference Sponsors are invited to engage with the Association as preparations continue for this landmark edition.
