EAVCA and Invest Kenya Renew Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Private Capital Investment in Kenya

August 20, 2026

The East Africa Venture Capital Association (EAVCA), has renewed its strategic partnership with Invest Kenya, reinforcing a shared commitment to attracting and unlocking private capital investment across Kenya and the wider East African region.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 20 August 2026 at the Invest Kenya offices in Nairobi, marking a new chapter in a partnership focused on strengthening Kenya’s position as a leading destination for private capital.

The renewed collaboration brings together EAVCA’s regional network of private capital investors and Invest Kenya’s mandate to promote and facilitate investment into Kenya. Together, the two institutions will work to support a more competitive investment ecosystem through policy engagement, investment promotion, market intelligence and the development of investable opportunities.

The partnership reflects a common ambition to mobilise more private capital into sectors that drive economic growth, innovation and job creation across East Africa. Through this collaboration, EAVCA and Invest Kenya will deepen engagement with investors, policymakers and ecosystem partners to strengthen the region’s investment landscape.

Areas of collaboration under the renewed MoU include:

Investment promotion and investor engagement.
Policy dialogue to improve the investment environment.
Market intelligence and knowledge sharing.
Development of investable pipelines and opportunities.
Joint convenings and initiatives that connect investors with key stakeholders.

As EAVCA the regional voice of private capital in East Africa, partnerships like this play an important role in creating stronger connections between capital and opportunity.

The renewed MoU builds on an existing relationship between the two organisations and signals a continued commitment to advancing private capital as a catalyst for sustainable economic development in Kenya and across East Africa.
